All the previous versions worked in my PC. But when I updated the Firefox browser to the latest version, the browser doesn't show Any website. Like- when I type www.google.com in the location bar and click the Proceed button, the browser says Done and the page is empty! As I said before, it doesn't open any website.
Note:
Previously I tried to download and Install Java Runtime Environment. The Online installation wasn't working and my PC hanged in the middle of the installation. So, I restarted my PC without cancelling the installation. After that my Firefox browser is showing this problem. (Though I can't remember if the browser was 2.0.0.5 version or not at that time) I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again in the same folder, but the problem is same. But if I install all the other versions except 2.0.0.5, those versions of Firefox works. Only the Latest version (2.0.0.5) wont work.
Installing the browser in different folder doesn't change anything/solve the problem.

Downloading applications such as java and shockwave would be the correct process as far as I am concered.
It may be better to simply remove firefox from your system and perform a clean installation as the only reason firefox would not run would be a corrupt folder due to a bad installation.
I suggest you remove firefox , disable your anti - virus software and close down all undeed applications and then perform a clean installation of firefox.
If this appears to not be working then you can revert to the older version of firefox at http://www.oldversion.com/ or http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/.
