Problem running firefox 2.0.0.13?
restart the computer
Reply:The first thing I would try is to try to run firefox in safe mode - a shortcut should have been installed in the start menu, but if you've misplaced it for whatever reason, you can also type [firefox -safe-mode] and hit enter in start%26gt;run...

If firefox works when you do this, then the problem is not with firefox itself, but with one of the extensions you've installed in previous version or some files in your profile folder, which is usually located under:

C:\Documents and Settings\%26lt;Windows login/user name%26gt;\Application Data\Mozilla\

and make a copy of [random characters].default folder you find there so you'll have a backup, then delete all content from the original. If the above was the problem, it should automatically re-create the profile folder with the default setting and should run without problems.

If that wasn't your problem, try installing a previous version of firefox ( ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/fi... ) and see if this problem still persists. 2.0.0.13 apparently is problematic for some people and downgrading usually helps.
Reply:Click on the 'Set program access and defaults' . For the configuration select 'custom'. then make sure that access is enabled for Firefox.
Reply:you have far more than enough RAM and your pentium 4 chip is fine.

go here and download this tool...

now uninstall any mozilla/firefox's you find, however when it asks, DONT remove the settings unless you dont mind losing your customizations you've made.

then go here and reinstall firefox

That will fix your problems.
