Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or 2.4 GHz for a laptop?

I'm planning on getting a laptop, but I'm not sure whether to get a 2.0GHz or 2.4GHz processor.

I'm not a hardcore gamer and I don't play WoW anymore, but I do play Sims 2 with high graphics and want it to run smoothly. And I do want it to be prepared in case I start playing other games.

I also use Photoshop CS3.

Other than that, I don't use any major programs and I just surf the web %26amp; use aim/msn.

Could anyone help me decide? The 2.4 is $75 more than the 2.0

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or 2.4 GHz for a laptop?
I would go for Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz. YOu get bang for your bucks. Also in the near future their will be programs that require more processes so a faster CPU keeps you goin on while those power hungry programs eat your processes up
Reply:For the $75 dollar difference i would get the C2D 2.4, it isnt that much difference in price to get the more powerful cpu.
Reply:I would get the Core 2 Duo (I did). Two cores are better than one--even a slightly faster processor.
