In both Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 2.0.0.1, neither the background colors nor the background images on?

In both Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 2.0.0.1, neither the background colors nor the background images on any web pages show. All other HTML and CSS positioning elements are working. It is independant of any CSS - a page with CSS or without it, all backgrounds show as white. All background images are blank.

However on Netscape 7.1, everything shows perfectly.

I have all the Settings "ON" to allow images, etc. to show on both IE and Firefox browsers.

This is a problem I've been having with Internet Explorer for several versions. Upgrading doesn't fix it. However, texts and fonts didn't work - they showed as Times Roman - until I upgraded to IE 7.

Is this some kind of problem at the registry level? I've run Spybot, Adaware and Windows Defender as well as Browser HiJack and Norton AntiVirus and I've found nothing to cause this problem.

Sounds to me your Accessibility options is set incorrectly...Go to Control Panel %26gt; Accesibility Options

and make sure under the "Display" tab that your "Use High Contrast" is unchecked...and look around for any other area indicating an override for background or colors...it should just be the "Use High Contrast". Once you apply the change then go to a new site or refresh the current one you are on and the background images should come in.
