It's basicly an update of the internet. Wikipedia has a better definition of Web 2.0.

It's a marketing buzzword that suggests an evolution of the internet. It changed the emphasis of information superhighway into a sophisticated web of social networking (and highly monitizing websites).





Web 2.0 expects users to have broadband connections, sound, and a machine robust enough to handle a completely interactive experience. New technologies are being utilized -- one of the most popular is AJAX.
